Keynote Speaker

Robert C. Schulz - As Principal Architect at the Chancellor's office of the 22 campus California State University System, the country's largest higher education system, Mr. Schulz is responsible for the development of submittal and practice standards for all design professionals working for the CSU. As the CAD Coordinator for the CSU, he has been responsible for the development of electronic submittal standards for architecture, engineering, and mapping projects. He coordinates the continuing development of advanced CAD and mapping standards and the consideration of information technology tools for managing design and construction projects at the CSU.

With over 20 years of experience in the AEC industry, Mr. Schulz's career has encompassed construction, private practice architecture and institutional positions. he has been heavily involved with the use of electronic design tools in the AEC industry for over 15 years. Current issues of interest involve the use of the Internet and World Wide Web for project communication and management, CAD and data sharing among project participants, and the use of electronic design tools to support Quality Assurance in the AEC design and construction process.

Mr. Schulz is a member of Autodesk User Group International (AUGI) (formerly NAAUG) and past Chairman of their AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) amd GIS Special Interest Groups. He is also active in the Integrated Construction Association; a group dedicated to futhering the cross discipline use of electronic data in the AEC industry.
