Wake Up Your Creative Genius

William Boon

This is a motivational lecture using overheads. The first part of the lecture deals with the proposition that you are, or can be, creative. It all hinges on your attitude. Attitudes are molded by our habits and being a positive thinker.
Also, there are several techniques for helping you develop new habits and thinking in a more positive way. These methods are briefly explored.

The audience is challenged to come up with more than one right answer in solving problems. Most of my students will take the first right answer and run right off a cliff with it. But that's all right because failure is part of the process.

The last part of this lecture is devoted to humor. Edward De Bono declares that humor and creativity are the same thing, because they both stimulate the same part of the brain.

The audience is then taught how to laugh in eight easy steps. It is brought out that humor is the Ben Gay of the soul, because it takes away the pain. Therefore, humor is good for you and will keep you healthy. If you can't learn to laugh at yourself, then it is up to the rest of us to do it for you!

Humor is also power! You can learn to control your life and your anger through the use of humor in your life.
